In His Own Words:

My first memory of skiing involves being coaxed through giant mushroom cutouts, and under rainbows, via the all-powerful chocolate kiss.  15 years later, I'm still going strong and loving every minute.  Skiing has been a beautiful opportunity that has taken me across the world and back again.  It's fast, arduous, unpredictable, and demands respect. There are more variables involved than in any other sport; to be great is no simple feat.   For precisely these reasons, I've been sucked in and can't get enough.  I love sprints, and I love marathons.  I love the local races where you dress up, and I love the reverberating atmosphere of a world caliber event.  I'm a western boy who had the privilege of spending 4 years out east for college, learning to ski in whatever nature threw at me.  In the end, my home is the mountains. My zeal is for soccer. The goal is the Olympics, and then to be skiing in my 70s
