In Her Own Words:
I am currently living back in my hometown, Bozeman, MT, where I grew up skiing and racing for the Bridger Ski Foundation. As a junior racer, I competed nationally and internationally, eventually skiing for the US Development Team. After a year on the team I decided I wanted to pursue my education at Dartmouth College. I took a two-year hiatus from serious ski racing, and then finished up with two years on the college circuit. Now I’m training for 2010…
Although my racing career has been somewhat inconsistent over the past few years, I have maintained a constant passion for skiing and competing. I’m back in Bozeman because I love the mountains and the wide range of outdoor activities Montana offers. For me, training is more than a ski-racer’s lifestyles—it gives me an opportunity to spend time in the mountains, whether I’m trail running, mountain biking, hiking, or taking a rest day to fish the rivers. Over the years I’ve come to understand how important it is to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle- ski racing helps provide this way of life while also giving me a chance to compete and challenge myself. |
